今回は、久しぶりの用語シリーズにして、基本に立ち返り
『軽量鉄骨』について改めてお話してみたいと思います。
私たち内装工事業者にとっても、建物に住まう皆さまにとっても大変重要な
軽量鉄骨についてお話させていただきます。
インターネットには既に用語シリーズのようなものが存在するかとは思いますが、
弊社なりにまとめ、且つ施工した写真が用意できる場合は紹介させていただきます。
比較的簡単に読み終えられる記事にしていくつもりなので、
気軽にご覧いただければ幸いです。
軽量鉄骨とは
軽量鉄骨工事の参考画像。養護施設にて
軽量鉄骨とは、使用される鋼材の厚さが6mm以下のものを指し、
反対に6mm以上の物を重量鉄骨と呼びます。
また、軽量鉄骨は、英語にした時の”Light Gauge Steel”の頭文字から取り、
LGSと呼ばれます。
軽量鉄骨も重量鉄骨も、一般的に言う構造躯体としても使用されますが、
内装工事の下地材としては、軽量鉄骨のみが使用されます。
強度は重量鉄骨に劣りますが、その分加工性に優れるため、
現在では間仕切壁のほとんどが軽量鉄骨にて建てられております。
内装工事において、天井（吊り天井）や、間仕切壁を施工するための骨組みとなる材料を
「内装下地材」と言います。
軽量鉄骨にて下地材を組む工事を「軽天工事」（軽量鉄骨天井下地 から）、
または「軽鉄工事」と呼ばれることが多いです。

内装下地材は、前述の軽量鉄骨や、木軸があり、現在ではほとんどの場合において
軽量鉄骨が使われています。
（意図的に木軸を使ったり、組み合わせることもあります）
木造住宅においても、間仕切壁や吊り天井の下地材には軽量鉄骨が使われていることも多々ございます。
軽量鉄骨のメリット
- 不燃性が高い
- 虫害に強い
- 加工性に優れる
- 寸法安定性に優れる
不燃性が高い
当然ではありますが、木軸と比べ不燃性が高いため火災の際安心です。
現在、間仕切りや吊り天井の下地に軽量鉄骨が使われている大きな理由の１つに
不燃性の高さが挙げられるでしょう。
虫害に強い
木軸は虫害、特にシロアリなどに注意が必要です。
基本的に間仕切壁や吊り天井は、ボード材を貼ってしまうと見えなくなってしまうため、
年月が経ち改修工事を行う際、目も当てられない状態になっていた、
という事がありえますが、軽量鉄骨の場合はその可能性を下げることができます。
加工性に優れる
軽量鉄骨は基本的に、工場にて長さを切りそろえられ現場に運ばれてまいりますが、
現場カットにて細かな長さの調整も可能です。
また、木材には不可能なR（曲面）のある壁の施工のため、
工場による加工を行えば曲面の柱や壁を作り出すことも可能です。
横浜ダイヤビルディング内ショールーム壁、並びに円形の照明を施工するための軽量鉄骨下地を組む工事を行いました。
寸法安定性に優れる
寸法安定性とは、湿気による反りや拡縮が起こりにくい事を指します。
木軸では湿気による膨張や収縮、反りが発生することもありますが
軽量鉄骨であればそれらがほぼ発生することがなく、
内装材として優秀であると言えます。

以上、軽量鉄骨について改めて、簡単なご紹介でした。
どんな素晴らしいデザインの内装も、下地が無ければ建てることはできません。

Same as the normal demolition work, demolition at an interior finishing site, we must cure the site fully enough.
In case，dust occurred at work site happens to damage shop or store operation in business, it may cause great trouble. Considering that some people operating or living in that building, we have to consider possible countermeasure as much as possible.
Especially, also at public space such as elevator or stairway, as it may turn out to be carry-out way for disposal items, after demolition also, we cure and cover the room fully so as to be able to use the room without any problem.

We also strip the board and others at the ceiling.
The important point when removing interior finishing materials is classification of waste dumping after all.
Waste refuse or the like shall be collected precisely and separately collected and thrown out as waste disposal.
